Cyber
From ZaInternetHistory
The Cybers were a range of mainframe computers from Control Data. In the context of these pages, the Cybers in question were housed in the computing centres of many South African universities, including Rhodes University. These computers were heavily involved in early Early Computing at Rhodes and by implication, the birth of the Internet in South Africa.
See wikipedia's definition for more information about Cyber mainframes themselves.
